LogicBoxes Registrars recently started accepting register/transfer for new gTLD Domains considered "Premium Domains". You will be charged with the higher cost price while your customers are paying the domains at normal price.
Our Registrar Module has been updated today to be fully compliant with the new selling feature for premium domains, offered directly by the registry as "premium domain". We strongly recommend to update the module as soon as possible to avoid undesired surprises.
Background information
Previously domain lookups using the API has always given as result "unavailable" if the domain name was considered a "Premium Domain". This has now changed and the API result is "available" with the higher selling prices for register, transfer and renew. The markup is available in the Reseller account » Manage Products And Pricing » Domain Registration » Domains Pricing Overview
LCD Registrar Module with full support
Our registrar module upwards v3.9.9 is now ready for the new feature. By default, an availability lookup will result in "unavailable" if the domain is considered premium. If you like selling new gTLD premium domains, then you need to activate the feature explicitely:
How it works
Once activated, the domain lookup will be processed accordingly to show to the customer the special selling price for the premium domain. This will happen in the domainchecker as well as in any shopping cart template. No template changes are required in the shopping cart:
The invoice will be correctly generated with the premium selling price and the recurring price for renewal will be adjusted automatically:
